Where<\/strong> \u2013 Suva, Fiji in the South Pacific (just above New Zealand on the map)
\nCost<\/strong> \u2013 $2500 per person
\nIncludes air travel to\/from Fiji (from LAX), all ground transportation in Fiji, all meals and lodging, training supplies, and a team shirt.
\nAreas of Ministry<\/strong> \u2013 We will be serving at Homes of Hope in a rain forest just outside of Suva. Homes of Hope is an amazing ministry that works with young moms (mostly aged 15-19 years old) and their children. Many of them have been rescued out of the sex trade industry or domestic abuse. To see more about this amazing  ministry, you can visit http:\/\/www.hopefiji.org\/<\/a>.  While there, we will assist them in working in the nursery, helping in the preschool, working in the gardens, helping with sewing work, teaching classes to the moms,  and doing some construction work.  We will also do some more leadership training with the staff there.<\/p>\n

Team<\/strong> \u2013 8-10 adults and youth with a desire to serve God.<\/p>\n

Miscellaneous information<\/strong>
\n10 \u00bd hour flight (LAX to Nadi, Fiji)
\n19 hour time change (ahead of us)
\nNeed a passport (Must have receipt of application or photocopy.  Passport must be good for 6 months beyond the dates of the trip.)
\nFiji\u2019s weather is tropical \u2013 temperatures are in the mid to upper 80\u2019s.
\nLanguages spoken, Fijian, Hindi, and English
\nCurrency \u2013 Fijian dollar (1 Fiji dollar = 45 cents US currently)<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong>
\nApplication with a $900 deposit (non-refundable once team is selected) due by the end of Feb.  (Balance is due 1 month prior to departure.)<\/p>\n

Attend scheduled team meetings (pending location of applicant)<\/p>\n

Complete assigned reading and journals<\/p>\n

Have a growing relationship with God & be open to His leading<\/p>\n

Team meetings and payment schedule will be decided once the team is selected.<\/p>\n

*Please be aware that fees must be paid on time. Failure to pay in a timely fashion could result in being dropped  from the team. (Please communicate ahead of time if there is an issue.)<\/em><\/p>\n
